CRAFT EXHIBITION ALL SEWN UP!

Crafty customers of Whitchurch haberdashery specialists Thimbles, have been gearing up for the shop's annual exhibition and trail, which runs from May 26th to June 13th at their shop on Green End, Whitchurch Library, and the town's acclaimed Heritage Centre.

Exhibits cover the whole range of fabric and textile based crafts, including knitting, sewing, embroidery, quilting, and much more.  Last year's exhibitors (showing hundreds of exhibits) ranged from 5 to 92 years of age - as Thimbles proprietor Judith Howells said "There are no age or gender limits".

One of the shop's younger customers, Eleanor, who is a Year 5 pupil at Whitchurch Junior School, has taken up the challenge to produce her own work for the exhibition, and has been putting her sewing machine through its paces in readiness.
