Pets and Livestock
Whatever kind of pet you own, North Shropshire has everything you need to make sure it's a happy bunny...
The local pet shops have books to help you learn how to care for your animals, plus food for cats, dogs, guinea pigs, goldfish, rabbits, reptiles and more; then there are the dog baskets, pet carriers, birdcages and even special foods for exotic animals.
There's a choice of vets for when they're poorly, and of course with this being a largely rural area, they're able to turn their hand to caring for farm animals and horses too.
There's plenty of opportunity for horseriding, with regular cross country and showing events in the area. With all this equestrian activity, local farriers (like David Picton, who you can call on 07904 343674) and blacksmiths are vital.
If you prefer your animals behind bars, We're less than an hour away from the excellent Chester Zoo.
